What a journey this has been! We'd like to thank each and every backer who helped Smallfolk not only cross the finish line, but fund 1066% of its original goal!
You're all amazing; from the 543 backers that want the base game of Smallfolk, to the 1,454 backers who went as deluxe as possible!
Some statistics
Our first backer was a from Alabama, USA; howdy!
We funded in 15 minutes; that's over twice as fast as our first campaign, Chroma Arcana.
Speaking of Chroma Arcana, 144 of you loved it so much that you've come back for more. Welcome back!
We closed at 1066% funded with 2,243 backers and £106,638 ($143,727) raised!
There were 121 backers who had never used Kickstarter before. Welcome - we'll make sure you'll enjoy your first Kickstarter experience.
An incredible 19% of our pre-Kickstarter followers backed us. For a little perspective, the average successful Kickstarter has a conversion rate of 10%, meaning our fan-base really liked what they saw!
In total, you have helped us plant 2,021 mangrove trees!
Our last backer was from Glasgow, Scotland; tapadh leibh!
What's next?
It's time for us to take a week to relax - we learned from Chroma Arcana that it's important to take a break at the end of the campaign.
During our break, our fulfilment partner (the wonderful Back Office by Naylor Games) will be preparing the Pledge Manager. When we get back, we'll work on finalising the copy on all the cards and sending them over to our various partners to start translations!
Indie Spotlight
Eclipse Phase is one of our favourite roleplaying games, and we're very excited to see it expanded further into the board game SCUM. They're already well over 200% of their funding goal, but there are only a few days left to back and it looks like it's going to be a very satisfyingly crunchy board game.
And don't forget, you can still partake in our Fund it Forward campaign with Robo Rescue.

In just 3 short days, Smallfolk will be officially funded - and it's all thanks to YOU, our incredible backers and supporters! We couldn't be more grateful.
Plant a tree for every copy of Smallfolk
Last week we announced that for every base game and deluxe copy of Smallfolk pledged (including add-ons), we'll fund the planting of a mangrove tree via the Eden Reforestation Project!
That would already be 2,000+ trees planted if we ended the campaign today - and that number is still growing!

Our team has been hard at work on the rulebook, and a full version will be ready to share soon. Keep an eye out in the How to Play section or click the image below for more details.

Stretch goals + Solo Mode: Legends
You asked, we listened!
We've been so hard at work refining Solo Mode: Legends that we've decided to officially unlock it early!
That means we've reduced the stretch goal target to £90k and replaced the milestone with another community favourite: card sleeves. If we reach £100k, we'll unlock a set of high-quality transparent sleeves, available in the pledge manager at a discounted price. Each pack will have enough to protect your full game - including all cards from the Taller Tales mini-expansion!

700% Funded - Solo mode surprises and a collaboration with Robo Rescue!

The first week
We're 8 days into our 24-day journey and we've officially funded more than our previous campaign, Chroma Arcana! We can hardly believe it, and we're even more thrilled that the campaign is still going strong. We have lots of exciting news in this update.
Stretch goals
With your help, the base game has been improved 5 times. In addition to the stretch goals funded last week, we also now have 2 art prints included in every box and foil-stamped card backs for all hero cards in the game!
Due to popular demand, two massive stretch goals has been introduced...

Solo Mode: Legends will bring optional challenges to the solo mode, creating a more exciting solo experience. This adds 18 Legend cards (1 for each hero in the base game, plus 6 from the Taller Tales heroes) to Smallfolk. For each hero, this will include a set of tasks that you'll need to accomplish before the Wanderer clears the deck, as well as flavour text to help you discover more about your chosen hero's tale.
- The Digital Artbook & Storybook will be the perfect place to showcase the art of Smallfolk. Inside, we'll have images from all the story cards and hero cards, as well as brief snippets about the tales they're from, and even some artist commentary on a select few pieces. If you've ever wanted to learn more about your favourite tales, this is going to be a great way to do so!
Upcoming AMA

The designers (Gloria Lau and Alfie Wright) will be answering an AMA (ask me anything) event over on Reddit. If you've ever wanted to know anything about the game, take part in the AMA there!
Smallfolk in Chinese
We've teamed up with Mysterious Island, a company based in Shanghai, to provide a translation in both Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese! This will not be available during the pledge manager, but will be available for retail after the Kickstarter has fulfilled.
Fund it forward with Everland Studio!
We've partnered up with the publishers of Robo Rescue to arrange a "Fund it Forward" campaign. Thanks to Everland Studio for reaching out, we can now offer everyone who pledges to both campaigns a great deal.
All you have to do is pledge for each campaign. If you do, not only will you get Taller Tales mini-expansion absolutely free*, but you'll also get a free copy of one of the Robo Rescue Origins packs from them.

An incredible beginning
Only 2 days into our 24-day journey and we've almost reached 600% funded! The level of support we've received has been astounding.
Stretch goals
The base game has been improved with the first 3 stretch goals - we've got silk-screen prints on each of the player victory point bags, we've got thicker (and more premium-feeling) cardstock, and we've got a serious upgrade to the box art with nice UV spotting and a foil layer to really pick out those details that Thomas spent so long illustrating!
And of course there are more stretch goals to come. We've just revealed:

Foil stamped hero cards backs, which are really going to make them pop! Note that this will be applied to ever hero card, including the ones from Taller Tales.
